Matteh Bust Personal Yay

Gawd I love my Matteh baby so much!

I've been really bummered on and off about my artwork lately, and ~Isika pointed out to me a little over a week ago that I NEVER draw anything personal anymore.

So here is my newest personal piece.

Very experimental for me. I've never used textures, and I've never really "finished" anything much using Painter X before that I've actually liked, much less LOVED.

I'm very happy with the result.

Felt compelled to draw my baby boy Matteh Alanor, and used some songs from my iPod to help me along while at the library today.

I may add detail to his hair later, but for now I'm very satisfied. Hair is hard for me still in digital media, and I didn't want to mess him up. I like it.

Drawn in 0.3 mechanical pencil
Inked with 0.1 and 0.3 pigma microns
Colored in Painter X (Brushes used - Chunky Oil Pastel, Smudge, Course Smudge)
Adjustments and Texture applied w/Photoshop CS3
Time Taken - 3.5-4 hours total
